Job summary

SpaceX in Florida is seeking a Data & Control Systems Technician (Starship Launch Hardware) level 4/5 to install wiring, assemble cable runs and work with PLC-based manufacturing hardware.

You will collaborate with design engineers, write work plans, and support test campaigns while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 5+ years in industrial controls, an associate degree or higher, and PLC/DAQ experience; willingness to travel up to 15% and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in industrial controls/instrumentation.
• Associate degree in aerospace technology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years launch site instrumentation experience preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9000, IPC-620 and ICP-610 standards.
• Quality inspection experience with harnessing and cables.
• DC electrical theory knowledge.
• Procedures development/documentation experience.
• MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) basics.
• Electrical circuit design capability.
• PLC and DAQ programming experience.
• Experience with NI Max, Step 7, Studio 5000.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate wiring to pad instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
• Install connectors, terminals, and lugs; perform continuity checks.
• Troubleshoot failures from test data with engineers.
• Write, organize, and manage work planning documents.
• Generate purchase orders from vendor quotes.
• Lead complex projects with minimal oversight.
• Install and modify conduit and cable tray; assemble cable assemblies.
• Build and terminate AC power equipment up to 480VAC.
• Maintain PLC-based manufacturing hardware.
