Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Laser Tracker Toolmaker (Starship) to build and improve mechanical systems and tooling at our Starship facilities. You will interpret GD&T on assemblies, collect data with laser trackers, and guide tooling operations through data-driven analysis.

You’ll collaborate with fabricators, engineers, and machinists, ensuring safe practices and top-tier quality while supporting large-structure fabrication and testing programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints with GD&T at all assembly levels.
• Collect geometric data using laser tracker and Verisurf software.
• Establish and apply reference systems on and off parts.
• Analyze data to guide remaining tooling operations.
• Integrate process monitoring with fabrication to locate welding and machining details.
• Apply fabrication processes to large structures considering environmental effects.
• Communicate with fabricators, machinists, and engineers to ensure quality.
• Maintain safety and SpaceX quality standards on site.
• Keep workspace orderly for team efficiency.
