Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Avionics Test Engineer (Starship) to design and develop test systems for flight hardware, including electronics, optics, RF antennas and modulators. You will write Python automation and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test lab teams to improve reliability and yield.

Responsibilities include selecting hardware, designing PCBAs, and conducting thorough testing, with extended hours as needed to support milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of hardware or software development experience.
• 1+ years of programming in Python, MATLAB, or Embedded C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test systems for flight hardware including electronics, optics, RF antennas and modulators.
• Select COTS hardware or design PCBAs to measure signals and apply flight-like loads.
• Write Python automation to interact with units under test and test equipment.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test lab teams to improve reliability and yield.
• Identify and root-cause test anomalies and implement mitigations.
