Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Specialist (Starship) to design, activate, and troubleshoot electrical control systems for the Starship launch facility at Cape Canaveral. You will work with a team of engineers on PLC programming and hardware integration.

The role requires hands-on experience with electrical panels, instrumentation, and industrial networks, along with comfort working in demanding environments and travel to other launch sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or technology or equivalent.
Trade school qualification in instrumentation or electrical field.
Knowledge of NFPA 70/70E/79 and UL508A codes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑pressure environment.
Experience with electrical control panels and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Design and activate electrical and control systems for Starship launch facility.
Integrate and test new equipment and perform troubleshooting on critical ground support gear.
Lay out electrical control panels compliant with NFPA/NEC/UL standards.
Create manufacturing planning work orders and procedural documentation.
Develop and maintain robust PLC code with clear, maintainable logic.
