Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Product Security Engineer to influence the security of software across Starshield product lines. You will work on cryptographic services, secure boot, and network security for in-space systems, with a focus on protecting earth-observation and hosted payload capabilities.

Ideal candidates have strong software development experience (Python/C++/Go), a solid understanding of OS security, and a track record of shipping reliable security features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM, or 2+ years in security software dev as substitute.
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Experience designing security solutions for OS or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starshield, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starshield systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
