Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a New Graduate Engineer for Starshield Manufacturing in Hawthorne, CA. You will design for manufacturing, optimize production processes, and support a cross-functional team to bring satellites from design to high-volume production.

The role requires hands-on work with hardware, an engineering degree (2026/2027 graduates accepted), and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Graduating with a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in 2026 or 2027
• Experience in design or manufacturing engineering (internships, projects)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, build, and reliability engineers to efficiently build parts on schedule.
• Develop and revise production processes, equipment, tooling, and layout.
• Drive design for manufacturing during new product development and improvements cycles.
• Facilitate production of flight-qualified hardware at increasing production rate while reducing cost.
• Resolve complex manufacturing defects and eliminate root cause.
• Manage integration build flow and test operations.
