Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a NEW GRADUATE ENGINEER for Manufacturing (Starshield). You will join a multidisciplinary team to develop, test, and optimize production processes for flight-qualified hardware, learning with hands-on hardware and solving manufacturing challenges.

You will collaborate across design, build, and reliability engineering, driving production improvements, and supporting transition from design to high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or related engineering field.
• Graduating in 2026 or 2027; internship or project experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience designing or manufacturing engineering in university projects or internships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, build, and reliability engineers to build parts on schedule.
• Develop and revise production processes, tooling, and layout.
• Drive design for manufacturing in new product development and improvements.
• Facilitate production of flight-qualified hardware at increasing rate while reducing cost.
• Resolve complex manufacturing defects and identify root causes.
• Manage integration build flow and test operations.
