Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a NEW GRADUATE ENGINEER in manufacturing for Starship. The role focuses on production, qualification, and design/analysis of hardware manufactured on the lines.

You will develop workflows, perform build reviews, and support tooling and processes essential for high-rate production, working closely with analysts and suppliers. Ideal candidates have a 2027 graduation in engineering or physics and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in 2027.
• Degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
• 1+ years of mechanical, manufacturing, build, or integration experience via project team, research, internships, or professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with vehicle analysts to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop production procedures/processes and manage transition of parts from development to high-rate production.
• Coordinate development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling to meet hardware deadlines.
• Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
• Create original CAD models and prints for flight and/or tooling components.
• Lead the on-site design engineering contact for the build of parts and assemblies.
• Create and maintain build schedules.
• Resolve manufacturing discrepancies with quality team support.
