Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required Special Education endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language (preferred) and may be required for renewal.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEPs through ARD process with students assigned.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs as required.
• Assess student learning styles and plan appropriate instructional activities.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines using varied instructional media.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curricula as needed.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and materials selection.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with district policies.
