Job summary

Keller ISD seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide learning activities and develop IEPs, working in self-contained or itinerant capacities. You will collaborate with parents and staff to adapt instruction and assess student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required Special Education endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language (preferred and may be required for contract renewal).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and ARD Committee to develop an IEP for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs for assigned students.
• Modify regular curricula and assist Special Education students in regular classes.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings on a regular basis.
• Contribute to materials selection and instructional media.
