Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Stars Population Health BI Lead to translate data into actionable intelligence, improving population visibility and performance across priority populations.

You will partner across Stars and the enterprise to define metrics, monitor outcomes, and deliver decision-ready insights that influence strategy and execution. You will develop dashboards, time-series analyses, and executive rollups while collaborating with strategy, clinical, operations, technology, and analytics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical, analytics, BI, or equivalent experience
• Experience analyzing complex data to solve business problems and shape strategy
• Advanced experience with large, complex data sets in a large organization
• Proficiency in SQL and MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience developing data visualizations and BI solutions, including Power BI or equivalent
• Advanced understanding of healthcare data and connecting analytics to outcomes
• Ability to tell a clear point of view and actionable recommendations
• Ability to lead through influence and present to senior leadership
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to tailor to audience
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Analyze member-level Stars data to identify performance drivers and trends
• Develop dashboards and analytical capabilities for population strategy and performance monitoring
• Create executive summaries and strategic narratives for leadership
• Collate data from Oracle, SQL, Excel and enterprise reporting environments
• Build population definitions, baselines, targets, and segmentation approaches
• Conduct performance and demographic analyses across geography, contract, product, and segments
• Own deep operational reporting for priority initiatives and provide executive rollups
• Measure initiative effectiveness and recommend strategy adjustments
• Monitor performance of hard-to-reach populations and optimize outreach
• Use forecasting and scenario analysis to prioritize focus areas and resources
• Become SME in Stars measure specifications and data usage
• Partner with strategy, clinical, ops, tech and analytics to embed insights
• Provide data-supported recommendations and cross-functional accountability
• Support longitudinal strategies balancing optimization and innovation
