Job summary

Beacon Grand, a reimagined luxury hotel in Union Square, San Francisco, seeks a Full-Time Bartender to join our Starlite lounge team. You will craft classic and signature cocktails with precision, delivering impeccable service in a sophisticated setting.

You will work with a high-energy team, maintain bar standards, and ensure guest satisfaction through exceptional hospitality and expert knowledge of spirits. Convenience to late-night schedules is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, upscale cocktail lounge, craft bar, or luxury hotel environment.
• Deep understanding of classic cocktails and wine service; knowledge of rare bottles is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task under pressure with calm, controlled theatre.
• Sophisticated communication with a high-end clientele; coordinate with kitchen and floor team.
• Current Food Handler and Alcohol Service Certifications (e.g., LEAD/TIPS) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a curated menu of classic and signature cocktails with precise technique and garnishing.
• Provide a sophisticated bar-side experience with guest engagement and expert recommendations.
• Maintain immaculate bar setup and mise en place for high-volume service.
• Demonstrate knowledge of spirits, bitters, infusions, and glassware with consistent pours.
• Coordinate with servers and floor staff; manage glassware, prep, and ice quality.
• Handle cash/credit transactions and perform opening/closing duties including inventories.
