Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Test Technician (Starlink) to support the development and production of optoelectronic devices. You will perform preventative maintenance on test equipment, use hand tools and torque wrenches, and help with test setup and lab organization.

You will work closely with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and document procedures. Responsibilities include operating environmental chambers, running tests with DAQs, and ensuring a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with test equipment or hand tools in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or military environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
• Set up parts on test fixtures using hand tools and torque wrenches.
• Support development tests setup and lab organization.
• Operate environmental test chambers and vibration shakers.
• Run tests using test equipment/DAQs and document results.
• Assist design engineers with test procedures and documentation.
• Maintain orderly work area and assist with process improvements.
