Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Development Technician (Starlink) to fabricate and assemble prototype tooling and electronics for Starlink production lines. You will work with engineering to develop high-impact solutions and ensure quality through meticulous assembly and documentation.

The role requires hands-on fabrication experience, ability to read drawings and schematics, and a willingness to lift, stand, and work overtime to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 3+ years experience in mechanical fabrication (assembly, welding, machining, hand tools).
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and schematics (GD&T preferred).

Responsibilities

• Fabricate electromechanical production and test systems with engineering collaboration.
• Fabricate components using mills, lathes, welding, brakes, presses, and CNC processes.
• Assemble complex integrated assemblies including wiring and pneumatics.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and build instructions for tooling and equipment.
• Maintain development shop operations with proper workflow, safety, and inventory control.
• Promote 5S and organize the workspace for efficiency.
• Support team with innovative solutions and continuous improvements.
