Job summary

SpaceX in Texas seeks a Silicon Packaging Technician (Starlink) to join the in-house IC packaging and assembly team. You will collaborate with packaging engineers, test engineers and equipment suppliers to deliver reliable, manufacturable products for Starlink satellites.

The role emphasizes deposition, photolithography, metrology, and dicing with strict cleanroom protocols. Overtime and shift flexibility required.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with semiconductor processes.
Strong knowledge of photolithography, plating, etching and bonding processes.
Experience with metrology and data analysis for process control.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain deposition systems (PVD) to deposit thin films and etch/strip as required.
Operate photolithography tools to coat, align, expose, and develop resist with precision.
Monitor process performance using in-situ sensors and metrology equipment for uniformity.
Operate dicing saws, laser dicers, and plasma etching tools for wafer and panel singulation.
Load/unload materials into molding systems for target mold fill and defect control.
Operate die attach equipment with micron-level accuracy and controlled bond line thickness.
Operate electrochemical plating tools and stripping/etch equipment per recipes.
Comply with cleanroom gowning protocols and safety standards.
