Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer (Starlink) to shape the security of software across our Starlink products. You will design and implement cryptographic services, secure boot, and OS security across satellites, gateways, and user terminals, collaborating with multiple engineering teams to outsmart adversaries on an inter-planetary scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM discipline with 5+ years in security software development, or 7+ years of security software development in lieu of degree
• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang
• Experience designing and implementing security for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services
• Develop security features for Starlink systems including router, dish, gateways, and satellites
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services in support of this
• Maintain existing production systems and improve security posture via implementation and recommendations
• Build prototypes and help identify, design, and test security improvements
• Further mission of providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities
