Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Software Engineer for the Starlink Network Monitoring team. You will design, build, and scale software that powers observability for the global Starlink network, enabling real-time alerting and rich metrics to drive reliability and engineering decisions.

Responsibilities include building scalable data ingestion pipelines from satellites and ground infrastructure, creating frontend visualizations, and automating monitoring operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 1+ year industry experience or 3+ years of software development without a STEM degree.
• Proven ability to build reliable software for observability, telemetry, or real-time analytics.
• Experience with modern backend/frontend tech stacks and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, fault-tolerant data ingestion pipelines for real-time telemetry streams.
• Develop frontend dashboards and UI components for monitoring and analytics.
• Drive automation to reduce manual monitoring effort and improve anomaly detection.
