Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a RAN Validation Engineer for Starlink Mobile in Redmond, WA. You will validate and optimize the 4G/5G RAN software stack, with automated test development and field testing to ensure robust network performance on Starlink Mobile.

Bachelor’s in a STEM field plus hands-on LTE/5G-NR experience are required; proficiency in Python, Linux, and Git is essential, with strong debugging and analysis skills to drive fixes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required.
• Experience with LTE/5G-NR and RAN parameter configuration and performance analysis.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and data analysis; Linux and Git familiarity.
• Experience developing, executing, and managing LTE/5G-NR test cases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks for eNB/gNB validation.
• Analyze UE and eNB/gNB logs to debug RAN issues and drive fixes.
• Lead UE log collection and field testing to support feature development.
• Build tools and queries to analyze RAN performance and tune parameters.
• Manage network issues and coordinate with developers; maintain lab infrastructure.
