Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a RAN Validation Engineer for the Starlink Mobile program in Redmond, WA. You will validate and optimize the 4G/5G RAN stack, develop automated test cases, perform lab and field testing, and collaborate with developers to resolve complex issues.

The role requires Python-based automation, LTE/5G-NR test experience, and strong RAN knowledge, with opportunities for growth in a cutting-edge satellite-to-mobile network environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
Experience configuring, optimizing, and analyzing RAN performance.
Experience with Python for test automation and data analysis, Linux, and Git.
Experience developing, executing, and managing LTE/5G-NR test cases.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks for eNB/gNB feature validation (functional, performance, interoperability, regression).
Analyze UE and eNB/gNB logs to debug and root-cause RAN issues and drive fixes.
Lead UE log collection and field testing to support feature development.
Build tools and queries to analyze RAN performance and tune parameters to optimize KPIs.
Manage and prioritize network issues with developers to resolve them.
