Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. RAN Software Engineer to lead validation and optimization of the 4G/5G RAN protocol stack for Starlink Mobile. You will build scalable test automation frameworks and collaborate with software developers to triage network issues.

Requirements include a BS in STEM and 5+ years in Python/C/C++, plus experience automating LTE/5G-NR test cases. Strong knowledge of 3GPP specs and UE log analysis are preferred. On-site in California with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of Python/C/C++ coding experience.
• 5+ years of automated LTE/5G-NR test case development and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of CI/CD test automation for eNB/gNB feature validation.
• Analyze UE and eNB logs to debug RAN issues and drive feature improvements.
• Build data pipelines and tools to analyze RAN performance and optimize parameters.
• Manage and prioritize network issues with development teams to drive resolution.
• Troubleshoot and maintain RAN lab infrastructure with partner teams.
