Job summary

SpaceX operates a Bastrop production facility building Starlink hardware, including PCB production and solar components. This hands-on technician role supports high-volume manufacturing, equipment startup/shutdown, calibration, and quality inspections in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, can read technical drawings, use precision tools, and follow safety procedures to minimize downtime and maximize yield.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years of hands-on work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications; ability to work safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment per work instructions and safety standards.
• Perform startup/shutdown procedures and monitor process conditions.
• Troubleshoot equipment with maintenance/engineering for root causes.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and test equipment for measurement and inspection.
• Read schematics, drawings, and parts lists; follow LOTO procedures.
• Support 5S and maintain a clean, organized work area; training peers as needed.
