Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Specialist for the Starlink program in Bastrop, TX, on the 2nd shift. You will troubleshoot automated equipment, triage defects, and work with engineering to implement improvements while supporting process development and maintenance planning.

The role requires hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing, ability to read engineering drawings, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a hands-on manufacturing environment or bachelor’s in engineering/science
• Experience reading engineering drawings and working with automated equipment
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot production equipment and HMI issues
• Experience using MES to document defects and non-conforming material, ERP/MRP familiarity

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot automated equipment and recurring line issues with engineering and maintenance
• Triage non-conforming products and drive corrective actions
• Identify opportunities to improve yield, performance, and cost
• Update work instructions and train teammates on standard processes
• Perform process development and validation with engineering on new equipment
• Define maintenance schedules and support activities
• Drive area improvements in layout, material flow, and safety
