HARDWARE RELIABILITY TECHNICIAN, ROOT CAUSE (STARLINK)

As a Hardware Reliability Technician on the Starlink team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and quality of Starlink user terminals and gateways through manufacturing, test, and installation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate and resolve quality issues impacting Starlink products in a timely and effective manner


• Document production non-conformances accurately and in accordance with established procedures


• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality management system policies and procedures


• Participate in root cause investigations on Starlink products to identify and eliminate sources of defects


• Perform field return triage and conduct root cause analysis on returned hardware


• Execute PCB solder rework and X-ray inspections to support root cause analysis and MRB disposition


• Support production teams during critical containment actions and quality alerts


• Assess production processes for compliance with company standards and applicable industry requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate


• 1+ years of experience working in a production, mechanical, or manufacturing environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment


• Experience performing root cause analysis on electrical systems and PCBAs with expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to solder joint quality, component failures, and manufacturing/assembly defects


• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field


• Experience working with root cause/corrective action systems


• Self-motivated, proactive, and experience managing multiple priorities and tasks


• Practical experience working within quality management systems (ISO 9001)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends, as needed

• Schedule may vary depending on site operational needs and flexibility is required regarding overtime and weekend support


• Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, and lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted


• Must be willing to work onsite in Bastrop, TX - remote work not considered
