Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist (Starlink) on 2nd shift to help establish new manufacturing and test processes for a high-volume consumer terminal. You will work across centers to drive production readiness, resolve issues with design integrity, and push continuous improvement in yield and cost.

You will use experience with paste printers, SPI, AOI, X-ray, reflow ovens and related tooling to ensure quality and throughput in a fast-paced environment, contributing to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency with 2+ years in hands-on manufacturing, or a bachelor’s in engineering, math or science.
• Experience with hardware manufacturing and IPC/J-STD standards is preferred.
• Ability to program, load and operate automated equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute new product introduction builds across all work centers.
• Program, load, and operate automated equipment.
• Triage non-conforming products and drive resolution and preventative actions.
• Resolve production issues while maintaining design integrity and schedules.
• Perform process development and validation on new models under aggressive timelines.
• Ensure transition of products from development to volume production.
• Identify opportunities for yield, performance and cost improvements.
• Define maintenance schedules and support activities.
