Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated is seeking a Starch Chemistry Intern for Summer 2027 in Bridgewater, NJ. You will support starch modification projects, run lab/pilot trials, analyze data, and help scale-up processes for potential new products. Strong communication and lab skills are essential for presenting results to the team.

As an undergraduate, you will work under guidance to gain hands-on experience in a chemistry/chemical engineering setting, with safe lab practices and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student, preferably junior year, major in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Ability to work safely in lab and pilot plant environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab/pilot plant experiments and data analysis.
• Summarize findings in reports and present to the project team.
• Maintain ELN records and data archiving.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Ensure GMP and safety guidelines are followed.
