Levy Restaurants at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX, is seeking a Starbucks Supervisor to oversee daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and lead a fast-paced barista team during conventions and events.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong guest service skills, and a commitment to brand standards, safety, and operational excellence in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory/leadership experience in food service, retail, hospitality, or coffee shop operations.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience handling cash and operating POS systems.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
• Food Handler Certification and/or ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• TABC Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support baristas to ensure consistent service and product quality.
• Create and maintain staffing schedules based on business demands and convention/event activity.
• Provide performance feedback, recognize achievements, and address performance concerns professionally.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
• Oversee daily opening, operating, and closing procedures.
• Ensure compliance with Starbucks operational standards, food safety regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor product quality, beverage consistency, and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
• Conduct routine audits of cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
