Ensure service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation. Responsibilities
- Increase sales through effective marketing and merchandising of products in the Department.
- Assist in supervision and direction of department personnel to ensure quality customer service.
- Delegate job assignments and responsibilities to associates in accordance with duty rosters.
- Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitor conditions and appearance of same throughout the department.
- Monitor code dates and product rotation, remove out-of-code products.
- Hold personnel in the department accountable for their job assignments and responsibilities.
- Write department schedules, coordinating requests, bids, and business needs.
- Assist customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales (as applicable).
- Maintain customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
- Demonstrate Customer 1st Behavior when taking care of customer needs.
- Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Day.
- Execute and adhere to all Starbucks programs, policies, and promotions (e.g., Customer Voice, Siren’s Eye).
- Follow store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
- Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with standards and work as a store team player.
- Present oneself professionally and communicate clearly with all customer and partner interactions.
- Perform equipment maintenance as per preventative maintenance checklist.
- Follow cash handling and register policies.
- Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
- Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
- Adhere to company policies & procedures, especially regarding dress code, grooming, sanitation, and harassment/discrimination policies.
- Perform any duties as assigned.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support and assist with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

Qualifications
Minimum
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly, courteously, and tactfully, creating positive impressions.
- Must be a trained and certified barista.
- Dependability and integrity reflected in past work records.
- Supervisory skills.
