Job summary

OTG Management at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is hiring a Starbucks Barista. Compensation is $21.50 per hour. You will deliver the OTG Starbucks experience with prompt service, quality beverages, and a clean store environment.

Qualifications include being 18+, fluent in English, ability to lift 35 pounds, and ability to stand for long periods. Shifts include varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fully conversational in English.
• Able to lift 35 pounds.
• Able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions.
• Must be able to operate kitchen equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, coffee brews ovens, and blenders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example for the shift team.
• Assist with new crew training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Deliver the OTG experience to all guests by prioritizing their needs and connecting with them.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure resources are easily located and accessible for the crew.
• Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Communicate product shortages, equipment issues, or quality of service problems to the manager on duty immediately.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
