Provide exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to ensure the customer's return visit. Responsibilities include:

  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
  • Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals.
  • Prepare beverage selections to recipe and standards, and to customer's requests using proper equipment; handle transactions using company best practices.
  • Offer product samples, inform customers of specials, and ensure the delivery of fresh products with correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
  • Recommend coffee shop items to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use all coffee shop equipment properly; prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients.
  • Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
  • Properly use kitchen equipment, espresso machine, blender, computerized scale, and steamer.
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise; report discrepancies.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
  • Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report issues.
  • Report accidents, safety risks, and illegal activities to management.
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments.
  • Manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Salary Range: $17.50 - $22.61
