Job summary

OTG's Starbucks concept at IAH airport is seeking a friendly Barista to deliver the OTG Starbucks experience with prompt service, high-quality beverages, and a clean, welcoming store environment.

You will work with a team to provide outstanding guest experiences, maintain equipment, and support training while managing fast-paced operations in a travel hub setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Fully conversational in English.
• Able to lift 35 pounds.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Work varied hours/nights/weekends/holidays.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, ovens and blenders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to ensure smooth store operations and set a positive example for the shift team.
• Assist with new crew training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
• Deliver the OTG experience to all guests by prioritizing their needs and connecting with them.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure resources are easily located and accessible for the crew.
• Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Communicate product shortages, equipment issues, or quality of service problems to the manager on duty immediately.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Able to lift 35 pounds in weight
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, stoop, kneel and crouch
• Must be able to work varied hours/days, nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to operate kitchen equipment, including espresso machines and grinders, coffee brews ovens, and blenders
