Job summary

Food City is seeking a Starbucks-team member to deliver prompt service, prepare beverages and maintain a clean, welcoming store environment. This role supports the mission to Run the Best Store in Town and engages customers with product knowledge and friendly service.

You will handle orders, manage POS transactions, stock products, follow recipe standards and safety procedures, and attend on-site shifts. No coffee experience required, but familiarity is helpful; 16+ years old required.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Learn the ingredients that go into various products.
• Work with various Starbucks ingredients including various coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt service and quality beverages and products, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to customer satisfaction.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products, rotating items to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude toward customers and associates.
• Engage with customers, offering product information and sampling, using suggestive selling techniques.
• Process cash register transactions using the POS system.
• Deliver beverages, whole bean, and food products by following recipes and presentation standards.
• Act with integrity and promote the culture, values, and mission of Food City and Starbucks.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Follow Food City food safety program and handling procedures.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to attendance policies.
