Job summary

Food City is currently seeking a Starbucks beverage associate to deliver prompt, friendly service and quality beverages to shoppers in a fast-paced environment. You will follow established recipes, assist customers with product information, and maintain a clean, inviting store area.

Role requires on-site availability, 16+ years old, and a willingness to learn coffee and tea preparation as well as food safety practices. Training and benefits accompany this opportunity at Food City locations.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Food Service/Coffee experience a plus, but not required.
• Learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Learn the ingredients that go into various products.
• Work with various Starbucks ingredients including coffees, teas, spices, nuts, flavorings, sauces, and oils.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders, ensure orders are completed in a timely manner, and to the customers’ satisfaction.
• Prepare, bagging, pouring, and stocking Starbucks products, rotating items to ensure product quality and safety.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow associates.
• Engage with customer, offering product information, using suggestive selling techniques, and sampling products.
• Process cash register transactions using POS system.
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and the mission of both Food City and Starbucks.
• Consistently operate and tools and equipment, following all routine and safety procedures.
• Follow company food safety program and food-handling procedures.
• Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
