Job summary

RSCC Wire & Cable LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, seeks a Standards Engineer to liaise with Marmon Innovation & Technology and certification bodies. You will support product development, testing, and regulatory compliance across multiple facilities.

Attend industry standards committees, coordinate with manufacturing teams, and maintain technical documentation and test data. Travel to labs and sites will be required; a technical degree and strong project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is required; OR an Associate degree with relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, testing, and certification processes.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, testing requirements, and engineering documentation.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, papers, and supporting documentation.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented professional capable of working independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across multiple functions and locations.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Attend industry standards committee meetings and provide input and recommendations.
• Coordinate with manufacturing personnel on interpretation and implementation of industry standards.
• Visit certification and listing agencies and follow up on active projects and approvals.
• Maintain technical documentation, records, and project files.
• Coordinate product testing activities and ensure documentation of results.
• Schedule, track, and report on the status of active product development programs.
• Supervise designated sample production runs to support development and qualification.
• Conduct specialized qualification testing requiring advanced technical expertise and offsite support.
• Prepare technical reports and certification submissions and related paperwork.
• Collaborate with UL and other certification agencies for listings, audits, and maintenance of files.
• Assist with operation and audit readiness of the UL DAP Laboratory, ensuring ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
• Travel to facilities, labs, and listings as needed.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
