Job summary

UL Standards & Engagement is seeking an Associate Standards Program Manager to support the Standards Delivery & Innovation Program. The role is hybrid across Evanston, IL; Raleigh-Durham, NC; or Ottawa, Canada, enabling collaboration across teams and stakeholders to advance safety standards and efficiency.

You will lead end-to-end standards development, drive operational excellence, and coach teams while aligning with organizational strategy and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the standards development process, including identifying needs and creating, revising, approving, and publishing standards.
• Manage projects to ensure successful execution aligned with organizational goals.
• Drive the integration of safety standards and requirements into relevant end-product and service standards and advocate for the use of UL standards publications.
• Apply specialized knowledge in operational excellence, process improvement, and resource optimization to streamline project execution and drive efficiency across the portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization.
• Participate in technical committees and serve as chair for key standards or program-development stakeholder bodies.
