Job summary

UL Standards & Engagement is seeking an Associate Standards Program Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of standards development and maintenance. This role focuses on optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and aligning standards work with organizational goals across hybrid work locations in Evanston, Raleigh-Durham, and Ottawa.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely publication of standards, support strategy with insights on safety and sustainability, and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of related work experience.
• PMP or similar certification is a plus.
• Ability to lead high-performing teams and manage stakeholders.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the standards development process, including identifying needs, creating, revising, approving, and publishing standards.
• Drive integration of safety standards into end-product and service standards and advocate UL publications.
• Apply knowledge in operational excellence to streamline project execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and guide teams through changes.
• Scope end-to-end project plans and anticipate risks to ensure on-time delivery.
