Job summary

Howard University in Washington, DC, is seeking Standardized Patients to simulate medical scenarios and teach clinical skills to health sciences students. Training is mandatory, and SPs portray cases with realism, accuracy, and professionalism.

You will be supervised by the SP Educator and leadership; work hours vary by course schedules, with up to 58 hours per pay period and a minimum of 25 hours. A High School diploma or GED and eligibility to work in the US are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Computer literate and proficient with common software.

Responsibilities

• Simulate medical scenarios accurately and reliably for learners.
• Provide verbal and constructive feedback to students.
• Wear professional clinical attire and present yourself on camera or observed sessions.
• Complete checklists with high accuracy (95%+).
• Accept feedback from supervisors and adapt cases accordingly.
• Be comfortable with being audio/video recorded during simulations.
