Job summary

Southeast Health, a medical education partner in the United States, seeks Standardized Patients to portray patient roles in clinical encounters for medical student training. You will help students learn data gathering, humanistic care, and physical examinations by performing scripted scenarios with accuracy.

Responsibilities include presenting consistently, memorizing scripts, and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Must possess interpersonal skills, a flexible mindset, and be comfortable working in a quickly changing environment.
• Candidate must demonstrate ability and willingness to cooperate with others.
• Memorization of scripts and timely script retention are required.

Responsibilities

• Portray a role consistently and accurately as trained by SP management.
• Work professionally when interacting with students, faculty, SPs, and staff.
• Receive ongoing feedback to modify performance behaviors.
• Arrive on time to scheduled cases and assessments.
• Memorize scripts given weeks in advance and perform prior to training sessions.
• Provide honest written or verbal feedback to students as needed.
• Monitor SPs for quality and communicate with SP Coordinator about portrayal issues.
• Demonstrate flexibility and reliability with scheduling and assignments.
