Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Reach Truck Operator (Stand-Up Forklift) for the first shift in Humble, TX. This role operates in a high-rack, narrow-aisle warehouse and supports cold and ambient environments.

The position requires forklift proficiency, experience with inventory systems, and adherence to GMPs and safety procedures. Candidates should be able to perform cycle counts, coordinate with internal teams, and maintain accurate inventory records in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or ability to be certified.
• Experience in freezer or cold-storage environments.
• Experience with inventory systems / WMS.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments.
• Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Ability to operate RF scanners / handheld devices.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling equipment (stand-up forklift, pallet jacks) and manage receipts, transfers, and counts.
• Receive, store, stage, and load finished products while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Follow GMPs, safety procedures and company policies in a high-temp/low-temp environment.
• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory; report discrepancies to supervision.
• Check temperatures of trailers and materials before loading/unloading; review documentation.
• Use scanner transactions and basic computer tasks to complete required records.
• Tag pallets, pull/stage materials, and transfer between facilities per procedures.
• Communicate with QA,Customer Service, Maintenance and other internal departments.
