Job summary

Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Stand-up Forklift Operator to safely operate a stand-up forklift and support warehouse and material handling activities. You will perform forklift operations, move pallets, manage floor inventory, and assist with loading, unloading, and equipment maintenance.

This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and strict adherence to safety rules. Proficiency with measuring tools and basic math helps with stock tagging and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1-year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3-6 months of related experience; or 2-year technical degree with 3-5 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and written instructions, utilize measuring devices such as rulers, tapes, and calipers, and use a computer to check stock and print tags.
• Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Forklift Operation: Drive the stand-up forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus by levers and pedals.
• Material Handling: Position forks under pallets or skids, transport loads, and stack materials.
• Organization: Maintain materials by size and grade for easy retrieval.
• Inventory Management: Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Inspection and Reporting: Inspect materials for damage or shortages and report findings to the supervisor.
• Loading/Unloading: Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the forklift, including lubricating, recharging, fueling, or replacing the liquefied gas tank.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations.
