Job summary

ProAmpac in Kentucky is hiring a Warehouse Associate who will operate stand-up forklift and coordinate inbound/outbound shipments and material movements in a climate-controlled warehouse.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read and follow instructions, and strong communication with carriers, production, and customer service to ensure on-time deliveries. Full-time, 12p-8p shift, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Prior stand-up forklift, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with units of measure.
• Strong knowledge of standard warehouse processes and manufacturing basics.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and calendar tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate warehouse and office equipment as needed.
• Read and follow instructions.
• Keep warehouse organized by housekeeping and storage standards.
• Verify and track material received, shipped, moved including quantity and packaging.
• Communicate with machine centers, materials handling, carriers, purchasing, and management; via phone/email.
• Coordinate shipment/delivery changes with customer service and materials management.
• Insert scheduled delivery and shipment appointments in the system.
• Pre-receive inbound material and verify receipt completion.
• Monitor inbound loads and report overbooking to management.
• Dispatch inbound/outbound activity to dock areas.
• Scan delivery documents into files.
• Assist with training new associates.
• Back-up Material Handling as needed.
• Periodic inventory and cycle counts may be performed.
