Job summary

Qualifications

• Safe operation of overhead, bridge, gantry, or jib cranes.
• Ability to read load charts and lifting instructions.
• Knowledge of rigging, slings, chains, hooks, and lifting devices.
• Ability to perform pre-operation inspections and identify equipment defects.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for reporting maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

• Lift work pieces manually or with hoist; secure in fixtures.
• Start machines, engage feed, and monitor operation.
• Inspect and measure parts to verify specifications.
• Move machine controls to adjust operation.
• Replace worn machine accessories as needed.
• Tend machine controls and adjust as required.
• Follow set procedures and maintain housekeeping.
• Complete necessary reporting and logs.
• Communicate abnormal situations to team leads.
• Perform sample inspection and testing of parts for standards.
• Adjust procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggest kaizen changes to improve equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

FTIC is hiring skilled Overhead Crane Operators to keep our production moving and our team safe. If you’ve got the experience, precision, and focus to handle heavy loads with care we want you on board!

We are looking to hire for both 1st and 2nd Shift with a 5:30 AM/PM start time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lift work piece manually or using hoist and secure work piece in fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
• Start machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
• Inspect and measure manufactured work pieces to verify conformance to specifications as required.
• Move machine controls and guides to adjust machine as needed.
• Replace worn machine accessories as needed.
• Tend machine controls and guides to adjust machine as needed.
• Perform duties in compliance with set procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices at assigned workstation.
• Maintain and complete necessary reporting.
• Communicate all abnormal situations to Team Leader of Group Leader
• Perform sample inspection, and testing of parts, components, and materials as needed, to determine conformance to standards.
• Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Suggest changes (kaizen) in use of equipment to increase efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.
