Job summary

F & P America Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a production support operator to efficiently assist stamping presses. The role focuses on safe movement of material and dies, crane operations, and staging steel coils at the press.

Responsibilities include crane safety inspections, loading dies onto press beds, data recording, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. Overtime including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Follow safety requirements and PPE usage.
• Able to operate forklift after training and license.
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and understand operation standards, job instructions and product labels.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.
• Must pass overhead crane training prior to crane operation.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Exposure to dust, odors, noise, and smoke.

Job description

Position Summary

Performs duties required to efficiently support the stamping presses via safe movement of material and dies.

Position Responsibilities

• Conducts crane Safety inspections
• Operates overhead crane to load and unload dies off press bolsters (i.e., secure the appropriate die to the press bed using clamps or bolts; connect hoses and sensors as required and align the die precisely on the press and ensure the upper and lower dies are properly aligned to the press)
• Operates overhead crane to stage steel coils at the press.
• Records receiving data in the system.
• Performs general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).
• Other duties as assigned to maintain production.

Qualifications

• Follows all safety requirements of the company – PPE, (hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.
• Able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift by passing forklift training class and obtaining license.
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to read and understand operation standards, job instructions and product labels.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.
• Must pass overhead crane training prior to crane operation.
• Willing and available to work overtime, as needed, including weekends
