Job summary

Flex-N-Gate Detroit is seeking a Stamping Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a shift of about 45 employees, driving production efficiency, safety, and quality while coordinating with management to meet schedules.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to train workers, enforce standardized work, and continuously improve processes in a metal-stamping environment. This on-site position emphasizes 5-S discipline and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Supervised employees for at least 3 years with staffing responsibilities.
• 3–5 years manufacturing or leadership in metal stamping.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately 45 employees in a designated area.
• Ensure production rates, schedules, quality and safety requirements are met.
• Train direct labor on job responsibilities and priorities.
• Investigate injuries, accidents, or near misses and document findings.
• Maintain 5-S standards and housekeeping in the plant area.
• Communicate production issues with next shift and supervisor.
• Develop, implement and enforce standardized work in area.
• Assist Manager with employee rating forms in area.
• Perform area inspections for 5-S and quality issues.
• Strive for on-time delivery and continuous improvement.
