Job summary

STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION in Milwaukee seeks an experienced press operator to set up and operate equipment up to 110 ton presses, rotate among machines, perform minor tool changes, and maintain safety and quality standards.

You will train others, support process improvements with engineering and quality techs, complete routine maintenance, and contribute to 5S and productivity goals in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must pass a Mechanical aptitude test.
• Inspect tools and equipment as part of the job.
• Basic reading, writing, math, organizational, and computer skills.
• Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment up to 110 ton press.
• Run multiple pieces of equipment, stand alone or cellular fashion.
• Trained and certified on all presses above 110 ton or operate a cell with secondary processes.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solves and makes corrective adjustments during set-up and operation; aids others.
• Adhere to best safety practices in performing the job.
• Maintain all quality requirements and productivity standards.
• Maintain 5S throughout the department.
• Trains and provides work direction to others as required.
• Work with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
• Completes daily routine maintenance as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
