Job summary

STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION is seeking a Stamping Technician I to set up and operate equipment up to a 110-ton press in a high‑volume manufacturing environment in Milwaukee. The role includes running multiple pieces of equipment, performing minor tool changes, and rotating through machines as needed.

Candidates will solve problems, maintain safety, uphold quality and 5S standards, and assist in process improvements with management and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, math, organizational and computer skills are required.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment up to 110 ton press.
• Capable of running multiple pieces of equipment standalone or in cellular fashion.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solve and make corrective adjustments during setup and operation; aid others.
• Adhere to safety practices and maintain quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain 5S throughout the department.
• Train and provide work direction to others.
• Collaborate with management, engineering and quality on process improvement.
• Complete daily routine maintenance and perform other duties as assigned.

• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solves and makes corrective adjustments during set-up and operation of assigned equipment. Aides others in problem solving.
• Responsible for adhering to best safety practices in performing the job
• Responsible for maintaining all quality requirements and productivity standards.
• Responsible for maintaining 5S throughout the department.
• Trains and provides work direction to others as required.
• Work with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
• Completes daily routine maintenance as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
