Job summary

MiTek Industries in Minnesota is seeking a versatile Stamping Press Operator to operate stamping presses and packaging lines, ensuring safety, quality, and accurate production reporting. The role requires reading prints, performing first piece inspections, and collaborating with mechanics to keep equipment running.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Up to 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Able to perform basic math including proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Able to read and understand prints and schematics.
• Able to use small hand-power tools and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stamping press and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
• Meet and/or exceed daily production goals.
• Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors.
• Assist mechanics to keep press/packaging equipment operational.
• Feed slit ribbon material into dies and perform first piece inspection.
• Manually pack metal connectors and/or steel components into packaging containers.
• Minimize product waste; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers.
• Monitor coolant and oil levels and adjust as needed.
• Conduct ongoing inspection to internal quality standards.
• Complete quality and production paperwork each shift.
• Attend and be ready for work, including overtime when required.
