Job summary

TE Connectivity's Stamping Teams operate automated stamping machinery, perform changeovers, and ensure quality and productivity. Staff document results per quality procedures and maintain housekeeping in the work area.

Responsibilities include operating presses, loading reels, performing inspections, and coordinating with the team to meet production schedules. TE offers comprehensive benefits and a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written English procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal English instructions.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational or technical training for a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Must be able to move between work zones.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping press and assemble reels at standard production rate; load reels on reeler and package at press.
• Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP) including visual checks with a microscope.
• Document repair logs and IPCS trace during shift.
• Order raw metal and change stock as needed using Andon; thread up die and restart press when trained.
• Operate auxiliary equipment and maintain 5S housekeeping; remove scrap and manage scrap pans.
• Make minor press adjustments to lube system, air pressure and ram height.
• Retrieve components for re-reeling and greasing machine; move between staging areas.
• Operate re-reeler when applicable to the process.
