Position Details:

• Location: Cleveland, OH
• Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00/HR
• Position Type: Permanent with Benefits

An industrial machine shop is seeking an experienced Stamping Press Operator responsible for setting up progressive/compound die sets for production in the stamping press and producing parts according to specifications.

Shift: 1st Shift, Flexible Start Time: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM, 8 Hour Shift, Monday - Friday

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Three to five years' experience operating a stamping press
• Experience using measuring equipment/devices: calipers, micrometers, height gauge
• Ability to use typical hand tools
• Forklift operation experience and certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly, installation, and alignment of dies in the press
• Insert steel into the die through a straightener and feeder and make adjustments
• Inspect setup pieces for accuracy
• Monitor process and perform in-process inspections
• Conduct basic measurements and monitoring using calipers, micrometers, scales, and gauges

Physical Requirements:

• Walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
• Regularly move up to 50 pounds; may occasionally move up to 100 pounds with mechanical assistance
• Standing, using hands and fingers to handle or feel
• Reaching with hands and arms
