Press Operator - Avon, OH - JOB 25-01238

Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00/HR

Position Type: Permanent with Benefits

Shift: 1st & 2nd

A manufacturing company is seeking a Press Operator to operate and maintain a transfer machine.

Requirements

1. Operate and maintain a transfer machine with multiple stations, paying close attention to detail.
2. Transfer, position, and secure workpieces, including performing machining operations.
3. Load coils and tread material through the die.
4. Inspect stamped workpieces for surface defects and verify they meet specifications using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges and checking fixtures.
5. Use gauges, micrometers, and calipers; have an understanding of SPC.
6. Possess good math skills and an understanding of mechanical processes.
7. Perform machine maintenance such as sump cleaning.
8. Willing to perform other duties as assigned.
9. Interested in growing skills and advancing to a Setup and Run position.

Physical Requirements

1. Flexibility: squatting, reaching, and bending at the waste.
2. Lifting: moderate (40-60 pounds occasionally) and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly.
3. Mobility: walking and standing for the entire shift.

Candidates must pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
