Job summary

Ultipro in Sheboygan, Wisconsin seeks a Set Up & Operate Stamping Presses operator for the 2nd shift. You will set, align and secure dies, adjust ram stroke, and run various dies including blank, shear, trim, punch, and form draw from drawings or samples.

Responsibilities include programming and setting up sensing and feed systems, operating multiple presses when needed, conducting self-inspection with precision instruments, keeping work areas clean, and assisting training of others.

Responsibilities

• Set, align and secure dies, set ram stroke, etc., to perform operations such as blank, shear, trim, punch, form draw, and extrusion with complex dies.
• Set stripper, knock-out, ejecting and safety devices, lubrication systems and coil feeds.
• Convert multi-purpose dies and improvise standard setups for special adaptations when required.
• Program and/or set up sensing, support equipment and instruments for feeders, lubrication, air, part ejection and sensors.
• Ability to operate more than one press at a time when appropriate.
• Work from drawings and samples.
• Use precision measuring instruments for operator self-inspection.
• Assist the supervisor with special projects.
• General cleaning and housekeeping
• Display willingness to assist and train others when necessary.
• Powered industrial truck operation.
